STORY

Founded in November 2012 by owner Yeiny Sanchez Perdomo and Head Chef Abel Gonzalez, Frida’s is named not only to honor the great Mexican artist Frida Kahlo as well as for Yeiny and Abel’s daughter. For the past ten years our owner and chef have worked and sacrificed so much in order to bring their dream of having this restaurant become a reality. It is with all gratitude and sincerity that they bring their dream to you and invite you to try their unique take on their nation’s pride and joy, their food and service. Frida’s Mexican Restaurant brings a modern flare of 21st century cuisine to the traditional Mexican spices and dishes that we all love. Our concept of Mexican dining brings together the Mexican-American styles of food, like the fajita, with a home-style taste from the old country, like tacos el Guero. Frida’s is a family-friendly restaurant with live television, an open patio, full bar, and has both food and drink options to keep you craving more every time you come back. We offer dine-in, take-out, catering, event hosting, and much more. Abel Gonzalez, our head chef, has over nineteen years of experience working in Mexican restaurants like La Cazuela Mexican Cantina , El Amigo Mexican Restaurant , El Rodeo Mexican Resaturant and Frontera Mex Mex Grill. His expertise comes as a cook, waiter, bartender, and mostly as a General Manager. Abel brings the passion, dedication, and knowledge of the business with him to Frida’s for you to enjoy.
